Elegant necklace, made in Palestine.

1.5 inch long brass pendant, spells "Jerusalem" and hangs from black band 24 inches long opened fully.

This jewelry-making project is part of the Doqu Cooperative Community begun in 2010 with assistance from Sunbula. Doqu is located just outside of Jerusalem and since 2004 has been cut off from Jerusalem by the Israeli apartheid road system preventing many members of the community from going to work and farmers from reaching markets with their crops. The small workshop provides the women with new skills in jewelry making and finishing.
