Baladi Olives

Brined in a traditional Palestinian mix of green chili pepper, lemon, salt and water, these Baladna Baladi Olives have a deliciously earthy taste with hints of citrus and a little spice. Baladi olives come with pits in them and are organic, rain-fed and hand harvested in Kufor Ra’ai, a small village near the city of Jenin, in the Northern part of the West Bank. 

Olive trees have a long history and deep meaning in Palestine and are seen as symbolic of the Palestinian people’s ancient rootedness to the land. The Arabic word ‘baladi’ literally translated means ‘my land’ but is also used to describe food from the land that’s made in an uncomplicated, traditional, homestyle way.
