Collection: Embroidery

Our selection of tatriz, or cross-stitch embroidery, is hand-made by women’s cooperatives in villages and refugee camps across the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon.

The embroidery cooperatives provide vital supplementary income to families and give women some financial independence.

These cooperatives provide more than a way to earn a living. They also preserve these traditions and pass these skills from one generation to the next. Stories depicting life in Palestinian villages and communities are preserved in dresses, scarves, pillows, and many other garments, making embroidery a way to tell and remember Palestinian history.
