Handwoven Basket - Small (5")

A beautiful example of Palestinian artistry and cultural heritage, these lovely little baskets are utilitarian yet decorative and can be used for serving things like nuts, hold jewelry or other small items or as general decor to add color to a room. Each one-of-a-kind basket is handwoven by skilled artisans in the West Bank.

Salma Bozeye, Founder and Director of Beit Al Turath, in Salfit area, is a new artisan for Shop Palestine. For more than 15 years, Salma has been buying the straw (olive and wheat) from local women, dyeing and drying it, and making these beautiful baskets. She also offers 3 – 4 trainings each year on basket making Palestinian style basket weaving.
