Keffiyeh Tea Towel - Red & White

Noor Al-Qamar, Arabic for moonlight, was established in 2012 in Anata Bedouin community on the outskirts of Jerusalem.  It aims to provide work opportunities to the women living in one of the most economically-deprived areas of the West Bank.  The project became a Sunbula partner in 2016 after a group of women completed jewelry-making training with the designer Amir Salameh, and started to support their families from craft production.  In the following years, the women underwent further training by the designers Shireen Salman and Maro Santdouni and upgraded their skills and expanded their product line.  In 2023, Sunbula helped them establish a new sewing workshop and trained an additional group of women, who now earn a living by making products with local textiles.
