Nablus Soap Company was founded in Nablus in 1971 by Mojtaba Tbeleh, the descendant of well-known soap makers who have been making soap in Palestine for over 400 years. The family name “Tbeleh” is related to the name Arabic for the person who actually cuts the soap into squares, the “tubeili.”
