Olive Wood Live Edge Cutting Board - w/Bark

The beautiful handmade live edge olive wood cutting board retains hints of its rustic bark edge. The live edge goes with the grain and natural shape of the wood making each board one of a kind. 

A valuable wood species, olive wood is harvested from branches of olive trees that have been pruned at the completion of olive-picking season. It takes a six-step process and 45 days for a piece of wood to become a beautiful piece of art. Skilled craftspeople spend six to seven years in training in order to become professional craftspeople.

The Holy Land Handicraft Cooperative, a certified fair-trade cooperative, founded in 1981 and based in Beit Sahour near Bethlehem, is working to alleviate poverty and assist artisans in the marketing of products.
