One 500ml/16.9oz bottle of organic extra virgin Baladna Olive Oil grown in the West Bank and bottled in Ramallah. Retail $30. The olive harvest in Palestine has been disastrous this year for many reasons. The ongoing settler violence, theft of Palestinian farmland, and the Israeli military uprooting of thousands of trees have caused tremendous hardship for Palestinians and resulted in scarcity of oil. Most distributors tell us half the usual amount of oil is available this year.

One 2.3oz. box of Za'atar. Canaan's za'atar is blended with care by women's cooperatives in the West Bank and is made according to authentic Palestinian traditions. A balanced combination of organically grown oregano, wild collected thyme and sumac, and native Palestinian sesame seeds. Ingredients: oregano, thyme, roasted sesame seeds, sumac, olive oil and Dead Sea salt. 2.3oz. Retail: $10
